Thank you for coming and supporting the Kapa Haka

We would like to thank everyone for coming and supporting the Whānau Fish N Chip evening. We were overwhelmed by your support. The staffroom was bursting at the seams with families overflowing onto the deck and down onto the 'Grandstand' steps. WOW!! The evening was initiated and organised by Marnie and Haley (Parents) and supported by Nic, Rosie and David.  It was designed (put together) to help families make connections with other families involved in the Kapa Haka and to celebrate 'Success at RSS' through Davids presentation. We even got to have a sneak peak of the songs the children have been learning. This year both the Junior and Senior Kapa Haka will be performing at Pae Tamariki.  Pae Tamariki will be held at the Regent on the 27th and 28th of June 2016. If you want to know more information about Kapa Haka or Māori development you are more than welcome to come to the next Te Iti Rearea Meeting which is on Thursday the 31st March at 6pm. Thanks once again for your support!

Whānau Fish N Chip night

Kia Ora e te whānau,

Congratulations! Your child has joined Kapa Haka. Kapa Haka (Performing group) is fast becoming part of Kiwiana as it is recognised world wide as a New Zealand "Thing". Your child has chosen to be part of this Roopū and by so doing has opened new horizons, not just for him/her but for the family as a whole. Like any team activity, Kapa Haka benefits from the support of family (whanāungatanga). With this in mind, we would like to invite you to a Whānau Fish N Chip night with some fun activities for the whole family.

  • What: Fish N Chip Night (Please bring dinner for your whānau E.g. Fish n Chips)
  • Who: All Kapa Haka Members
  • When: Wednesday 23rd March 2016 at 6pm
  • Where: Staffroom
  • Why: To meet other whānau and to share each others strengths towards benefitting our Junior and Senior Kapa Haka roopuu!

Noho ora mai
Rosie raua ko Nic (Ngā Kaiako o te Kapa Haka)

Supported by Marnie and Haley (Ngā mātua o ngā tamariki o te Kapa Haka)
